Hey there! I am an award-winning arts, culture and travel writer whose work has appeared in The Southampton Press, The East Hampton Press, The Sag Harbor Express, Newsday, The Express Magazine, Homes of the Hamptons, Building the Hamptons and Homes of the North Fork. In 2019 and 2021, the New York Press Association recognized me as Writer of the Year for my bodies of work from 2018 and 2020, respectively.
Over the last decade, I have reported, researched and written thousands of articles, covered film and music festivals, A-list events, and interviewed brilliant minds — among them astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, documentarian Jimmy Chin, actor Alan Cumming, renowned sex therapist Dr. Ruth, virtual reality innovator Bruce Vaughn, landscape photographer Renate Aller, and more.
Their stories have moved me, from the late B. Smith‘s struggle with early onset Alzheimer’s disease, to convicted felon George Morton establishing himself as an artist after an 11-year prison sentence, to Holocaust survivor Helena Weinrauch finally finding solace on the dance floor at age 88.
I graduated from the Stony Brook University Journalism School in 2010, with a concentration in print journalism and Science and the Environment, allowing me to more deeply connect with environmentalists such as underwater photographer Shawn Heinrichs and Photo Ark visionary Joel Sartore.

Growing up in the shadow of New York’s Adirondack Mountains, a love of the great outdoors was inescapable, and my passion for hiking has taken me around the world — from Ecuador, Thailand and Canada to Greece, Iceland and South Africa.
After living a nomadic lifestyle for four years and reporting from the road, I planted roots in the Front Range of Colorado with my mischievous cat, Shelby.
When I’m not writing, you can probably find me lost in the wilderness (with plenty of snacks), cozying up to a good book, or daydreaming about my next trip.
